KUCHING, Aug 5: Deputy Prime Minister Dato Seri Fadillah Yusof has congratulated Petra Jaya startup company Neuon AI founder Dr Chai KC for winning the Most Promising Startup Award in conjunction with Cradle’s 20th Anniversary celebration.
In a Facebook post today, Fadillah, who is also Petra Jaya MP, said based in Tegas Digital Village Kuching, Neuon AI is a Sarawakian artificial intelligence (AI) company that develops its own in-house technology, specialising in machine learning, computer vision, and Internet of Things (IoT).
“This is an achievement and a source of pride for Sarawak, and I wish Dr Chai will continue to succeed in innovations, leading greater achievements in the future and make Sarawak and Malaysia proud,” he said.
Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd (Cradle) is Malaysia’s early stage start-up influencer, incorporated under the Ministry of Finance Malaysia (MoF) in 2003 with a mandate to fund potential and high-calibre tech start-ups through its Cradle Investment Programme (CIP). Cradle is presently administered by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI).
