KUCHING, Oct 30: Bumiputera contractors and entrepreneurs cannot rely only on the government, says Dato Sri Fadilah Yusof.

Instead, the Caretaker Senior Minister of Works, who is also the Petra Jaya incumbent said, they must look to expand their services or market their products.

“They must build up networks on a larger scale and collaborate with others to ensure their sustainability.

“As entrepreneurs, they have to go out to identify their market by utilising their advantage,” he said when officiating at the 2nd Series of Bumiputera Contractor and Entrepreneur Empowerment Programme held at CIDB Convention Centre, here today.

Fadillah said Bumiputera entrepreneurs need to work together with local representatives to assist them.

He also suggested Chamber of Sarawak Bumiputera Entrepreneurs (DUBS) come out with an app as a platform to gather and enable Bumiputera entrepreneurs to market their services and products.

“This is the new way for us and we also have to be creative as well as innovative,” he said. — DayakDaily
