KUCHING, Jan 6: Discover unique and timeless heritage fashion pieces and artisan accessories made by Sarawakian designers at the Premium and Artisan Galleries in Juma’ani Pavilion (JP), the first fashion hub in Sarawak that has officially opened its door since Dec 7, 2022.

The Premier and Artisan Galleries spread across the whole ground floor of JP are bursting with colours, offering curated collections of exquisite fashion items and accessories crafted using colourful textile patterns and motifs that tell the stories of Sarawak.

From casual to special-occasion apparel, some of the pieces displayed in the galleries scream quality and prestige for their craftsmanship, beauty pageants have strutted some on international and national stages, and JP also takes custom orders for clients.

Managed by Centexs Commercial, JP is a fashion house specialising in designing, producing and selling customised sustainable heritage products marketed under the Juma’ani by Centexs Heritage Fashion (CHF) brand.

The Premium Gallery of Juma’ani Pavilion offers unique and timeless fashion apparel by Sarawakian designers.

Centexs Commercial general manager Shahren Yusri explained that the products featured at the Premium Gallery are more high-end or luxury fashion, with the designs having unique one-of-a-kind styles. Hence, they carry a higher price tag.

“The pricing is based on the material used, the exclusive designs and workmanship. Some of our products are more expensive because the textiles used are handmade songket and keringkam.

“The most expensive piece featured at the Premium Gallery is by our local designer Datuk Raymond Jolly priced at about RM7,000, and there are other collections at different price ranges,” he told DayakDaily in an interview.

More importantly, Shahren welcomes people to visit JP if they are considering a custom, tailor-made dress or outfit.

“We offer made-to-measure outfits. Clients can choose among our local and professional designers to work on their garments from scratch, including the designs, materials and so on.

“One of JP’s roles is also to provide fashion advice and consultation service for clients to come up with their customised and exclusive product,” he said.

Shahren added that clients could also make full use of the facilities in JP, including the 3D body scanner, fabric printer and photo studio.
