MIRI, JAN 23: An Indonesian man allegedly stole his employer’s handphone and attempted to hide in the compound of a house at Pujut 9, hoping that no one would find him.
Unfortunately, the house-owner, in his late 30’s, had spotted the 23-year-old Indonesian national hiding in the corner of the compound and alerted the Resident Committee (RC) crew for assistance.
Upon receiving the alert, 10 RC crew members dashed to the scene and apprehended the suspect.
They handed him over to the police for further investigation.
The man was detained around 12.30pm.
Sources disclosed that the suspect had thrown the handphone into a nearby river. —DayakDaily
