EMCO enforced in 11 longhouses, one camp in Sarawak

KUCHING, Sept 17: Eleven more longhouses and one camp have been placed under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) for two weeks in Sarawak.

The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), in its daily update on the Covid-19 situation in Sarawak, announced that lockdown has been enforced on two longhouses in Tatau effective from Sept 16 to 29.

They are Rh Charlee Anak Ujang in Sg Sap and Rh Saran Anak Belang in Nanga Tau.

In Sri Aman, movement restrictions were imposed on three longhouses from today (Sept 17) until 30. They are Rh Rikie in Punggu Tengah, Rh Gading in Ran Ulu and Rh Joel in Bijat Ai.

In Betong, the two longhouses affected are Rh Collin Amban in Benggang and Rh Pagu in Meregang, Debak from Sept 18 to Oct 1.

In Sarikei, the two longhouses placed under lockdown from Sept 18 until Oct 1 are Rh Rosyvia in Sare and Rh Robert in Sg Merudu.

The remaining three areas affected by EMCO are Rh Untin in Sg Mador of Bintangor in Meradong until Sept 30 as well as Rh Cecelia in Praja Atas, Saratok and one Pelutan Camp in Telang Usan, both until Oct 1.

SDMC also announced that the EMCO in seven areas have been extended.

They involved Kampung Long Aton and SK Long Aton in Tinjar under Beluru district until Sept 23; Kampung Tengah in Beladin of Pusa until Oct 1; Rh Bantan in Sg Langit of Betong until Oct 1; as well as Kampung Mentu Mawang, Kampung Mentu Pondok and Kampung Mentu Tapu, all under Serian until Sept 24. — DayakDaily
