KUCHING, Oct 10: Application for domestic and overseas postal voting for the 15th General Election (GE15) is now open.
In a statement today, Election Commission (EC) secretary Dato Indera Ikmalrudin Ishak said the application closing date would be notified later after the EC meets to determine the election dates.
“For postal voting for Category 1A, which includes EC members, election officers, police and military members as well as members of the media, they must apply manually by downloading Form 1A from the EC’s website and submit it to the commission office in their respective constituencies.
“Meanwhile, for Categories 1B (Malaysian citizens who are abroad) and 1C (agencies/organisations), applications must be submitted online,” he said in a statement today.
He also mentioned that the EC would hold a special meeting soon to discuss and determine the important dates for GE15 as well as for the Bugaya State by-election in Sabah.
Earlier today, Prime Minister Datuk Patinggi Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced the dissolution of the 14th term Parliament of Malaysia after getting consent from the King. — DayakDaily
