KUCHING, Aug 23: An elderly man was pronounced dead after falling from a building near Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) along Jalan Tun Abang Haji Openg this afternoon.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Batu Lintang received an emergency call around 2pm and immediately dispatched a team to the scene.

However, it was confirmed that the victim had already fallen before their arrival.
A paramedic from the Ministry of Health certified the man’s death at the scene, after which his body was handed over to the police for further action.
Bomba stated that no rescue operation was required, but their team secured the site to ensure public safety before concluding their operation. — DayakDaily
