KUCHING, April 2: Dudong assemblyman Dato Seri Tiong King Sing is initiating efforts to improve public infrastructure in Kampung Kedada and Kampung Banyok by directing his staff to engage with the relevant authorities to repair and upgrade damaged bridges and widen roads in the area.
In a Facebook post following his visit to several residents of both villages during the Hari Raya celebrations yesterday, Tiong noted that the areas are frequently affected by floods, which have caused the bridges to deteriorate and now pose potential safety risks.

“In addition to ongoing efforts for river dredging and deepening projects, I have instructed my service centre staff to immediately engage with the relevant authorities to carry out repairs and upgrades for the bridges.
“Furthermore, as several of the kampung roads are too narrow and in poor condition, my team will also raise these concerns with the relevant agencies and work towards road widening and other improvements to enhance public infrastructure for all road users,” he said.
Tiong, along with his team from the Dudong Service Centre, and members of the Progressive Democratic Party visited several residents of Kampung Kedada, Kampung Banyok, and Jalan Sukun, yesterday for Hari Raya. – DayakDaily
