KUCHING, Jan 18: A charitable organisation WormingUp is calling for entries for its `Two Minute Video Production Competition’ organised in conjunction with the EatUp Festival 2019 on March 16 and 17 that aims to raise awareness about food waste in Malaysia.
According to a publicity release, the two-day public outreach programme targets all walks of life as a series of activities will be carried out, including an interactive session with ‘special guests’ on ways to prevent waste of food and interesting workshops.
The competition is free and open to all Malaysian secondary, college and university students aged between 17 to 23 years old. Amazing prizes await the winners.
Students interested to participate can register as an individual candidate or as a group of up to three persons.
There are two segments in the video competition, with the first Awareness Category for any type of creative video on food waste awareness and the second Documentary Category for documentary video on the two days Eatup Festival.
Five best videos will be selected in the Awareness Category and these five finalists will qualify to compete in the Documentary Category. Only one best video will take home the grand prize.
The length of videos in both categories is ‘two minutes’ only.
The competition is now open for registration until Feb 2. Hurry as there are limited slots left.
