Earth Hour: DBKU urges city dwellers to turn off lights for one hour as gesture of goodwill during Ramadan

KUCHING, March 23: Kuching City North Hall (DBKU) is calling on city folks to switch off electric lights at home for an hour in support of Earth Hour which wil be celebrated worldwide this Saturday, March 25.

City folks are requested to turn off lights for an hour between 9.30pm to 10.30pm in support of the celebration.

In a statement, DBKU said the celebration is a symbolic gesture towards the world’s efforts to support concerns about global warming, climate change issues and energy conservation, adding the noble effort will also promote public awareness about reducing the use of electricity and conserving energy.
