Duo who allegedly burgled beauty shop 15 days ago nabbed

MIRI, June 21: Police finally caught the two men who allegedly broke into a beauty shop in Marina Square 15 days ago and carted away items worth about RM7,000.

The duo, one in his late 30s and the other in his early 50s, was apprehended at about 10am in Jalan Brooke here yesterday, following a tip-off.

At about 8.30am on June 6, the affected shop owner discovered that her business outlet had been broken into, and she immediately alerted the police.

Police obtained a seven-day remand order from the Sessions Court today for the two suspects to facilitate investigation.

The case is being investigated under Section 457 of the Penal Code for house-breaking. — DayakDaily
