Cops nab youth who ran amok

MIRI, June 21: Police have arrested a man who ran amok on Wednesday evening and threatened to harm his next door neighbour.

The incident reportedly happened in Kejapil, Bekenu. No one was injured.

The suspect, in his late 20s, was arrested after the complainant alerted police soon after the episode unfolded at about 6pm.


The suspect was produced in the Miri Sessions Court this morning, and police managed to obtain a four-day remand order to facilitate investigation.

The case is being investigated under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation. — DayakDaily
