KUCHING, Jan 31: A 42-year-old man, who has a Master in Geology, and his female friend today pleaded guilty to possessing methamphetamine.
Magistrate Chai Guan Hock then fined them RM5,000 each or in default 6 months’ imprisonment.

Patimah Pom, 38, from Kampung Matang Batu and Luqman Kaluni from Matang Ville were charged under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 for possessing 3.97 grammes of methamphetamine at about 4.30pm on Nov 2, 2018, at a house in Jalan Matang.
Upon conviction, they are liable to a fine of RM5,000 or imprisonment of not more than 2 years.
