KUCHING, Sept 18: A 31-year-old was found dead after the boat the deceased was on sunk at Pantai Alit, Saratok on Friday morning.
Fire and Rescue Department (BOMBA) was contacted by Saratok District Police Station at 10am when the public saw a dead body floating at the river.
According to the statement from the State BOMBA Operation Centre, the deceased was found floating approximately 2 nautical miles away from Pantai Alit. BOMBA later immediately brought the deceased back to the shore on the boat.
The identity of the deceased had been confirmed by the deceased family members and was handed over to the police for further investigation. — DayakDaily
