Driver sustains foot injuries in accident along Jalan Tun Abdul Rahman

KUCHING, Jan 30: A male driver sustained foot injuries after being pinned to his seat following a road accident along Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman here this evening.

According to Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), in a press statement today, they received a call regarding the incident at 7.37 pm, and a team of eight firefighters from Padungan fire station led by PBK II KUP Murad Tuah was deployed to the scene.

“The incident involved a sub-compact vehicle colliding with a parked vehicle along Jalan Tun Abdul Rahman, causing the sub-compact vehicle’s driver being pinned to his seat.


“Firefighters then utilised rescue tools before successfully rescuing the victim, who also sustained foot injuries,” it said.

The statement added the injured driver was later brought to the hospital using Bomba Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) for further treatment. — DayakDaily
