KUCHING, Aug 19: A driver was killed in a single-vehicle accident after his car landed in a roadside drain along Jalan Datuk Haji Daud in Matang.
According to a report from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre today, after receiving the call regarding the incident, firefighters from Bomba Petra Jaya were deployed to the location.
The incident involved a Toyota Vios where the unconscious victim was brought out of the vehicle by members of the public at the location before their arrival.
The victim was confirmed dead at the location by medical personnel from Ministry of Health (MOH) and later handed over to the police for further action.
After ensuring the situation is safe, firefighters then ended the operation. — DayakDaily
