Driver injured, six escape unharmed in road accident along Jalan Serian-Sri Aman

The sub-compact vehicle's driver was given neck support by the EMRS, before being helped out of his vehicle by firefighters, and brought to Serian Hospital for further treatment.

KUCHING, Jan 10: A man was injured while six others, including three children, were unharmed after a sub-compact vehicle collided with a sports utility vehicle (SUV) along Jalan Serian-Sri Aman, today.

According to the Serian fire station in a statement today, a team of four firefighters led by PBK II (KUP) William Bony rushed to the location near Kampung Semukoi B, after receiving a call from members of the public at 4.24pm.

“After conducting a size up, firefighters were informed by the driver of the sub-compact vehicle, who was still inside the vehicle, that he felt pain in his right shoulder.


“Following that, the driver was given initial medical treatment by the Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) at the location, before being moved out of his vehicle by firefighters, and brought to the Serian Hospital for further treatment,” it said.

The statement noted, two other passengers in the sub-compact vehicle, including one child, together with the driver of the SUV vehicle, and three passengers, which include two children, were uninjured im the incident.

The operation ended at 5.17pm, after firefighters ensured that the situation at the location was under control. — DayakDaily.
