KUCHING, March 17: A 45-year-old driver was injured following a single-vehicle road accident along Jalan Bukit Orang in Bintulu.
According to a report from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Bintulu, they received a call at 12.36pm from an individual who directly contacted the station to inform them about the accident.
Following that, a team of eight firefighters, together with two Bomba Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) personnel, were deployed to the location.
Upon arrival, the operations commander confirmed that the accident involved a four-wheel drive (4WD) vehicle, and the victim was still in the driver’s seat.
Firefighters then proceeded to stabilise the vehicle before extracting the victim.
The victim was later handed over to medical personnel from the Ministry of Health (MOH), who were waiting at the location for medical treatment and further action.
The operation ended at 1.01pm after firefighters ensured that the situation was under control. — DayakDaily
