KOTA SAMARAHAN, Feb 6: A driver escaped with minor injuries after his car caught fire near Kampung Pangkalan Kuap along Jalan Datuk Muhamad Musa early this morning.
Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Kota Samarahan responded to the emergency at 6.31am and swiftly mobilised a team of firefighters to the scene.
The incident involved a Proton Saga, which was completely destroyed by the blaze.
The driver managed to escape before the fire engulfed the vehicle and was given first aid by the Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) team.
He was later transferred to the Sarawak Heart Centre for further treatment.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze and conducted safety checks to ensure no remaining sources of ignition before concluding the operation. — DayakDaily
