KUCHING, April 21: Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan is reminding those who are celebrating this Hari Raya Aidilfitri to drive safely and spend wisely.
He urged those who are driving back to their hometowns to be alert while on the road so that they could arrive safely at their destinations.
“As we celebrate this Aidilfitri festival, I would also like to remind all to always be prudent in spending. While the global economy remains uncertain, please spend within your means.
“And to those who have the ability, extend help to those in need so that all can celebrate this Aidilfitri with joy,” he said in his Hari Raya Aidilfitri message.
Awang Tengah, who is also Minister for Natural Resources, Urban Development, International Trade and Investment, expressed hope that all Sarawakians remain united, peaceful and safe under Allah’s protection.
