KUCHING, Aug 16: Batu Kawah assemblyman Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian presented thermoscanners to 12 primary schools in the constituency to ensure smooth checking in of students when the schools reopen tomorrow (Aug 17).
He also handed over financial grants, hand sanitisers and face masks to representatives of the schoolsā management yesterday to assist them during the current Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) period.
āAmong the schools benefitting from Dr Simās kind gesture are SJK Chung Hua Sg Tapang, SK Rantau Panjang, SRB Sungai Moyan, SK Stapok and SJK Chung Hua Batu Kawah,ā a press statement revealed today.
Amidst the delayed school reopening due to the sudden spike of Covid-19 cases in Kuching, Samarahan and Serian a while ago, Dr Sim expressed belief that all these schools have prepared themselves to put all the required Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in place.
In stating this, he also gave assurance that he would assess the schoolsā situation from time to time for any necessary adjustment to be done for the safety of the students and school operators. ā DayakDaily
