Dr Sim: More than RM330 million spent within 5 years for Batu Kawah

KUCHING, Dec 7: More than RM330 million in funds has been spent for the development projects in to improve Batu Kawah in the past five years, said N14 Batu Kawah incumbent Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian.

The Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) president said the allocations for Batu Kawah constituency, among others, goes towards improving the economic status, livelihoods, tourism sectors, as well as providing better infrastructure for the local community.

“Of course, this is not bribery, because this is what the people is Batu Kawah expect of their elected representative to do for them,” he told reporters during a press conference on his five years for Batu Kawah constituency, held at SUPP Batu Kawah branch in MJC, today.


Dr Sim also said this include various assistance for religious houses of worship, and education, together with some projects which are still ongoing.

“Ultimately, it is for the people, not just me, and I appeal to them to give me another 5 years.

“I will share my manifesto after the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) launches theirs tomorrow,” he added. — DayakDaily
