KUCHING, Feb 26: State Health Department (JKNS) director Dr Chin Zin Hing hoped that all frontliners in the state will be vaccinated in the first phase of the State vaccination program.
According to Dr Chin, a total of 97,000 frontliners from various agencies throughout the state have submitted their list to JKNS for the vaccination program.
“We hope to cover all 97,000 of them in phase one of the vaccination program,” he said when met by reporters after receiving his vaccination dose in Petra Jaya Health Clinic today.
At the same time, JKNS Public Health Physician Dr Radziah Mohamad said more than 5,000 of the population will be receiving their vaccines in the next few days under the first shipment of vaccinations.
In Petra Jaya Health Clinic today, she noted, about 48 individuals have been jabbed with the vaccine, and another 1,160 frontliners will follow tomorrow.
“From today onward until March 1, 2021, we will have more than 5,000 people to be vaccinated,” she added. – DayakDaily.
