BAU, Nov 10: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu ((PBB) vice president Datuk Dr Annuar Rapaee has lashed out at Pakatan Harapan (PH) for trying to link Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) with United Malays National Organisation (Umno) and efforts to free jailed former prime minister Dato Sri Najib Razak.
“The statement saying that a vote for GPS is a vote for Umno to free Najib in the event that Umno comes into power is a misleading statement, a political ploy (of PH).
“Come on lah…we have the rule of law and separation of powers and they (PH) know that. How are we in GPS to release Najib?” Dr Annuar told reporters today during a visit to SK Serembu here.
GPS has nothing to do with court decisions, he stressed.
Dr Annuar, who is Minister of Education, Innovation and Talent Development made these remarks in response to a statement by PH that a vote for GPS is a vote for Umno or Barisan Nasional to release Najib if they come back to power.
Dr Annuar questioned if there was any truth behind the assertion that there was a pact between Dato Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
“Can you tell me how true is it (the secret meeting) and can you prove that there is no secret meeting?”the Nangka assemblyman asked. — DayakDaily
