KUCHING, April 29: Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) confirmed that there were five bite cases instead of four yesterday (April 28) at Kota Sentosa, where one of victims was bitten on the abdomen.
MPP chairman Tan Kai when contacted, said following an emergency operation last night (April 28), MPP managed to catch four stray dogs, one of which had been verified by two victims as the dog which attacked them.
The operation, he said, will continue today.
The first bite case, he said, involved a 53-year-old male who was attacked at Mes Pegawai Pengkalan Udara Kuching. The victim was bitten on his right index finger at 12 noon.
The second and third cases involved two males aged 51 and 43-years-old respectively at the Mile 7 library area. The second was bitten on the right knee while the third on the right calf, at the same place at 2pm.
The fourth victim who is an 18-year-old male, was bitten on his abdomen at 3pm in front of Hospital Sentosa.
Tan, however, had no further details on the fifth victim who was bitten at Ho Bi So Food Corner on the same day.
Yesterday, Tan released a press statement calling on the public to be on high alert following reports of four victims getting attacked and bitten by a black and white dog in Kota Sentosa. — DayakDaily
