KUCHING, Nov 3: The retail price for three-ply face masks was lowered to RM0.70 from RM1 per piece while the wholesale ceiling price for the masks was reduced to RM0.65 from the previous RM0.95 per piece, effective Nov 1.

Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) Sarawak, in a media statement today, stated that the new ceiling price is enforced under the Price Control and Anti-Profiteering Act (PCAP) 2011.

KPDNHEP Sarawak director Dato Stanley Tan reported that 8,906 inspections and monitoring of price and supply for face masks was conducted throughout the state from Jan 29 to Nov 2.
