Disabled man found drowned in Kampung Sinar Budi Baru

KUCHING, Feb 20: A 51-year-old man with mental disabilities (OKU) was found drowned in a drain near Kampung Sinar Budi Baru today.

Sarawak Fire and Rescue department (Bomba) operation center in a statement said they received a call regarding the incident from Padawan police headquarters at 7.11am and deployed a team of eight firefighters from Bomba Batu Lintang led by PBK Law Kim Hin.

“The operation commander reported that a man was found drowned in a roadside drain.


“Firefighters later successfully recovered the deceased’s body and it was later handed over to the police for further action,” the statement revealed.

The deceased was identified as Linggi Majid, from Mile 4 ½ New Settlement Scheme in Jalan Batu Kawa. —DayakDaily
