Ahmad Ibrahim calls PH out on blame game

KUCHING, Feb 20: The Sarawak government’s directive to not allow Pakatan Harapan (PH) representatives to use the state’s public facilities is due to PH’s own actions, says Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Supreme Council member Datuk Ahmad Ibrahim.

According to Ahmad, PH initiated the provocation against Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS), which included prohibiting GPS representatives from visiting schools in the state.

“It is not that GPS is immature, but PH, especially Democratic Action Party (DAP) leaders who are immature and childish.

“We are not the ones who started it, but them (PH),” he said in a statement today.

He was responding to an allegation from Senator Alan Ling, who described GPS’ actions preventing PH representatives from using public facilities for events and activities involving the people as immature.

Ahmad, who is also Sarawak National Youth Movement (Saberkas) exco member, said that it was improper for Ling to make such a statement without checking on the facts of the matter first.

Ahmad claimed that besides preventing GPS representatives from visiting schools in the state, the PH government had also ignored the dilapidated school issue in the state, formed the Federal Village Community Management Council (MPKKP) and many others.

“It is sad when all the bad things the PH government has done to the people of Sarawak are supported by the Sarawak PH leaders.

“PH leaders, especially from DAP should have known that, even some of them who are not assemblymen, MPs or holding important positions, have gone to school and talked nonsense,” he added. —DayakDaily.
