KUCHING, Aug 7: Denmark is eager to explore and further strengthen bilateral cooperation with Sarawak, particularly in green technology, aerospace, artificial intelligence (AI), and education.
Ambassador of Denmark to Malaysia, Kirstine Vangkilde Berner, said Sarawak holds great potential as a strategic partner, especially in alignment with the State’s energy transition agenda and sustainable development goals.
“We have a strong presence in Denmark through our companies, which have extensive experience and a long tradition in green technology, from green hydrogen and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to carbon capture technology.
“We understand the entire value chain and believe there is great potential to be tapped together,” she said in a Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) news report.
Kirstine expressed Denmark’s excitement and optimism about future collaborations during a courtesy call on Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, at the Satria Pertiwi Complex here today.
She noted that education was among the key topics discussed, with Denmark expressing support for Sarawak’s education goals and development plans.
“We also see opportunities in aerospace and AI, which are now among the main drivers of global economic progress,” she added.
To further strengthen ties and advance shared areas of interest, Kirstine extended an official invitation to the Sarawak Premier to visit Denmark.
