Dead body found in Serian palm oil plantation

SERIAN, Dec 6: A dead body believed to be that of an Indonesian man was found by locals in Serian, yesterday.

Serian police chief DSP Aswandy Anis said the police received information at 3pm from local villagers that a body of a man covered in blood was found on the ground in a palm oil plantation in Kampung Abit.

“After an initial investigation, it is believed that the deceased was a 27-year-old Indonesian citizen, based on the information in a bag that was found about 34 feet from the body location,” he revealed in a statement today.


The body has been sent to Serian Hospital for postmortem.

“An investigation is being carried out to identify the motive and also the perpetrators,” he added.

The case in being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code. —DayakDaily.
