KUCHING, Jan 7: The pedestrian overpass at Jalan Tun Abang Haji Openg near the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) has been temporarily closed to make way for maintenance works until further notice.
In a notice posted today, the Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) advised pedestrians to use alternative routes to get to SGH—namely, Jalan Tun Ahmad Zaidi Adruce or Jalan Hospital.
“This closure is for maintenance and repair purposes to ensure the safety and comfort of users of the overpass,” said the notice.
Therefore, DBKU hopes that the public will cooperate to ensure that the maintenance can be carried out smoothly.
