The RM67 million project started in November 2015 and was scheduled for completion in January this year. However, it was delayed due to various factors, including relocation of cables and unfavourable weather conditions.

The project was initially scheduled to be completed on Nov 25, 2017 but was delayed due to inevitable circumstances.

Fadillah added that traffic flow is expected to be smoother after completion of the underpass which will benefit more than 400,000 people.

Meanwhile, Fadillah, who is also Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) senior vice-president, said the party had yet to announce its candidates but they are always ready as they have been serving the people all this while. — DayakDaily
