Damataries Lautin new Kota Samarahan police chief, replaces Jaimi Husin

KUCHING, March 17: Superintendent Damataries Lautin has officially assumed the role of Kota Samarahan District Police Chief, effective today.

He succeeds Deputy Superintendent (DSP) Jaimi Husin, who will now serve as the Deputy District Police Chief of Serian.

According to a report by Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS), Sarawak Police Commissioner Dato’ Mancha Ata witnessed the handover ceremony took place at the Kota Samarahan District Police Headquarters’ Multipurpose Hall here today.

In his speech, Damataries, who previously served as the Lundu District Police Chief, pledged to fulfill his new responsibilities with dedication to ensure the safety and peace of the district.

Meanwhile, Mancha expressed gratitude to Jaimi for his commitment and service during his one-year tenure leading the Kota Samarahan District Police Headquarters (IPD).

He also conveyed hopes that Damataries would continue the legacy of excellence in maintaining the security and well-being of the community.

For the record, Jaimi was entrusted to act as Superintendent while serving as the Kota Samarahan District Police Chief for a year, starting March 4, 2024, before his transfer to the Serian District Police Headquarters.

Also present at the ceremony were Sarawak Deputy Police Commissioner DCP Saifullizan Ishak, Sarawak Police Contingent Headquarters Management Department Chief SAC Rizal Abd Rahman Sidek, and Sarawak Criminal Investigation Department Chief SAC Lim San Aik. — DayakDaily
