Crocodile rescued from fishing line at Miri River

KUCHING, March 3: A married couple got the shock of their lives while fishing at the Miri River mouth today when they discovered a crocodile caught in their fishing line.

According to a report, the couple immediately called the Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) for assistance at 8.43am.

The MyAspa-O Bravo squad, led by Nurhaizam Ramzi, arrived at the scene by 9.10am.

Working alongside the Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC), the team successfully captured the crocodile, which weighed 120 kg and measured 9 feet in length.

It was then handed over to SFC for proper handling and relocation. – DayakDaily
