KUCHING, April 29: A crane operator was injured after his rig tipped over and trapped him in its cab in an incident that occurred in Kampung Pinang Jawa, Kuching.
According to a report from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre, they were informed about the incident at 2.28pm by the Malaysian Emergency Response Services (EMRS) 999 and deployed Bomba Petra Jaya to the location.
The operations commander reported in the incident that the 33-year-old crane operator was pinned inside the crane’s cab and was later extracted by firefighters using rescue tools.
The victim suffered injuries on both legs and was reported to suffer from waist pain.
He was later handed over to medical personnel from the Ministry of Health (MOH) for treatment and further action. — DayakDaily
