KUCHING, Jan 14: All arrivals including non-Sarawakians into Sarawak from Jan 16 onwards are required to undergo Covid-19 tests three-days or 72 hours before entering the State.

State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), in a statement today, emphasised that this order applied to Sarawakians and non-Sarawakians coming from Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Labuan.

A negative test result must be attached in the application via enterSarawak.

The Ministry of Transport (MOT) will make announcement regarding the flights schedule which have been approved by SDMC in the nearest time.

Meanwhile, MOT has previously announced that the number of scheduled flights to Sibu and Miri from Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu will be reduced from Jan 9 onwards.

This decision was made due to the limited number of hotel rooms available for quarantine purposes and the increasing number of Covid-19 cases in the country. — DayakDaily
