SIBU, Jan 15: Following the enforcement of the Movement Control Order (MCO) in Sibu Division, the Covid-19 screening centre at the foyer of Sibu Indoor Stadium will be closed on Jan 16.
Sibu Division Disaster Management Committee, in a statement today, said the move was to prevent the public from gathering at the place for screening.
However, the Drive-Through Covid-19 Swab in Sarawak State Library, Sibu is still operating for “close contact” screening.
The screening time is from 9am to 1pm from Monday to Saturday.
The committee said those “in close contact” with Covid-19 patients or experiencing symptoms such as fever, cough, flu and sore throat are advised to go for screening at the Covid-19 screening centre at Lanang Health Clinic or Sibu Jaya Health Clinic .
The screening time is from 8am to 4pm from Monday to Friday but there is a break from 1pm to 2pm from Monday to Thursday and 11.45am to 2.15pm on Friday.
As for Saturday, the centre is open from 9am to 12 noon. — DayakDaily
