KUCHING, March 20: All Malaysians and non-Malaysians entering Sarawak from Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Labuan no longer need to submit their Covid-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests three days before their journey.
This updated procedure, which is to be effective starting March 22, was announced by State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) chairman Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas during the press conference on Covid-19 update today.
“Evaluations by SDMC have found the Covid-19 situation in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Labuan to be under control, thus SDMC has made such a decision,” he said.
However, he stressed, the online registration through ‘EnterSarawak’ with supporting documents such as copy of identity card, flight itinerary, police permit and so forth are still required.
