Covid-19 infections in Sarawak drop to 45 cases, continues downward trend

KUCHING, Dec 16: The number of new Covid-19 cases in Sarawak continued to decline as the State recorded 45 cases today compared to 50 yesterday.

The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement said all the new cases reported were in the mild Categories 1 and 2.


By district, Kuching took the lead with 17 cases, followed by Miri (5), Bintulu (5), Sibu (5), Limbang (2), Lawas (2), Tanjung Manis (2) while Sarikei, Samarahan, Mukah, Dalat, Lundu, Serian and Beluru recorded one case each.

Meanwhile, Sarawak recorded zero new deaths and zero new clusters today. — Dayakdaily
