Covid-19: 180 cases a new daily record in Sarawak

KUCHING, Jan 14: Sarawak hits a new daily record for Covid-19 cases today, notching up to 180 in the last 24 hours.

This was according to the Covid-19 statement by the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) earlier today.

Prior to this on Jan 13, the most number of cases in a day was 166, with 94 cases in Sibu, 48 in Miri, 15 in Kuching, four in Beluru, three in Bintulu, and one each in Belaga and Samarahan.


For the past few days, the Covid-19 figures had been hitting two to three digits each day.

And of the 180 cases today, Sibu reported 150, Miri (9), Kuching (4), Bintulu (4), Dalat (3), Simunjan (2), Sebauh (2), and one each in Limbang, Lubok Antu, Samarahan, Tebedu, Betong and Sarikei.—DayakDaily
