KUCHING, Sept 14: A couple was tragically killed after their car crashed at Jalan Astana this morning.
According to the state Fire and Rescue Department, they received the distress call at 6.09am, whereby two accident victims were trapped in their vehicle.
The couple, identified as Reeco Juien, 34, from Bau and Salome Micheal, 35, from Kampung Krusen, Serian died on the spot.
They have two children, aged 2 and 5.
Firefighters had to use ‘rescue tools’ to extract them out of their Perodua Kancil vehicle.
Meanwhile, a family of three from the other vehicle, a Toyota Fortuner, escaped with light injuries.
Police are investigating the cause of accident. — DayakDaily
