KUCHING, Aug 10: Police in Sibu are seeking the public’s assistance in their investigation into an accident involving a pedestrian and a Perodua Bezza that occurred along Jalan Oya, near SMK Saint Elizabeth, Sibu.
According to Sibu district police chief, ACP Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad, the accident took place at 4.28pm on Aug 6, when the Perodua Bezza was believed to be travelling from Jalan Tong Sang towards Jalan Deshon.
“Police are still conducting further investigations to identify the vehicle and driver involved. As of now, the vehicle registration number and identity of the driver of the Perodua Bezza in question have yet to be identified,” he said in a statement.
Members of the public who have dashcam footage, CCTV recordings, or information related to the case are urged to contact the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division of the Sibu District Police Headquarters or the investigating officer, Sgt Mohd Ali Nordin, at 013-572 3330.
“The cooperation of the public is greatly appreciated in assisting police to identify the vehicle and driver involved and complete the investigation into the case,” he said. — DayakDaily
