MIRI, Feb 24: A man robbed a convenience store in Senadin with a knife at around 6am on Sunday (Feb 23).
The Miri police is now on the lookout for this man who barged into the 24-hour convenience store and forced the cashier to empty the cash register.
Miri Police chief ACP Lim Meng Seah when contacted said no one was hurt in the armed robbery.
Lim said a closed circuit television (CCTV) in the store showed that a man came into the store and demanded money from the male cashier who was working alone at that time.
The robber was armed with a knife and the whole incident took place in less than 60 seconds.
“He got away with cash amounting RM112,” Lim said.
The case is being investigated under Section 395 of the Penal Code for armed robbery.
