KUCHING, June 6: Members of the public with missing family members can contact the police to identify the body of a hit and run victim at the Padawan Traffic office.
They can contact investigation officer Inspector Sharlina at 082862641 or 0102119427 as the deceased, who was a pedestrian was pronounced dead on May 28 and expected to be buried.
The accident case was reported to have happened on May 26 when a pedestrian was believed to have been knocked down by a car around 12.30 pm.
According to the police report, they had received a report on May 29 from the Sarawak General Hospital saying that an unidentified person had passed away on May 28 at 9.19 pm due to the incident.
The cause of death of the deceased was due to heavy injuries on his head and he was unidentified as no documentation can be found on the body when the incident happened.
Police had urged the public who had lost contact with any of their family members to identify and confirm the deceased at Padawan Traffic office. –DayakDaily.
