Pedestrian dragged to death in Jalan Dogan, police appeal for witnesses

KUCHING, Dec 19: The Padawan District Police Headquarters (IPD) is calling for potential witnesses to step forward and aid in the investigation of a man’s death, suspected to have occurred after he was dragged up to a distance of 160 metres near Jalan Dogan in Batu Kawa.

According to a news report by TVS, Padawan District Police Chief Superintendent Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad said the incident is believed to have occurred between 4.30am and 5.30am last Saturday (Dec 16).

The victim, identified as a pedestrian, was confirmed dead at the scene.


“The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987,” he said in a media statement yesterday (Dec 18).
