KUCHING, March 18: Operations at the Industrial Training Institute (ILP) Serian construction site have been ordered to stop immediately with the detection of five Covid-19 cases at the site yesterday (March 17).
Serian Resident’s Office in an official letter to the construction company today stated the immediate cessation to all activities on site until further notice.
“There were five Covid-19 cases detected at the construction site of ILP Serian on March 17.
“With that, Serian Divisional Disaster Management Committee (DDMC) has made the decision to immediately stop all operations at the site until further notice.
“This is to allow active case detection (ACD) to prevent the further transmission of Covid-19,” it said.
Construction of the institute started on April 26, 2018 and was expected to be fully completed by end of this year on Dec 14. —DayakDaily
