Construction on Unifor office complex to begin in Sept

KUCHING, July 28: The construction of the 10-storey Unit for Other Religions (Unifor) office complex is expected to start this September.

Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas highlighted this when briefing Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg about the preparations to mark the start of the project with a ground-breaking ceremony.

He added that the complex on a 1.2 hectare site at Ong Tiang Swee Road costing about RM70 million is expected to be completed in two years’ time.


Uggah led an entourage from the Unifor Board of Trustees to pay a courtesy call on Abang Johari at his office in Wisma Bapa Malaysia here today.

Joining him were its members Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian, Datuk Roland Sagah, Datu Dr Penguang Manggil, Datuk Liwan Lagang, Datuk Janang Bunsu, Yussibnosh Balo and Unifor director Richard Lon.

State secretary Datuk Amar Jaul Samion was also present. — DayakDaily
