KUCHING, July 26: The construction of the physiotherapy building at Batu Kawa health clinic has commenced.
Deputy Premier Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian expressed relief that the project has finally started, despite the cost increasing from RM500,000 to RM750,000 due to the rise in material costs.
“After five years with four changes of government, (we are) finally relieved to see the physiotherapy building of Batu Kawa health clinic underway.
“Physiotherapy is a much-needed facility and service for the people in N14 Batu Kawah constituency,” he shared in a post on his Facebook page after a simple ground-breaking ceremony held yesterday (July 25).
According to the contractor, the project is expected to be completed within six months.
Dr Sim, who is also Minister of Public Health, Housing and Local Government, hoped for an expedited completion as soon as possible. — DayakDaily
