KUCHING, July 27: Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) urges commercial premises with excessive advertisement signage to comply with local laws and apply for the required advertisement license.
MPP chairman Tan Kai in a statement today emphasised that compliance with these regulations is mandatory for all businesses operating within the municipality.
āMPP hereby reminds all targeted commercial premises that failure to comply with the Local Authorities (Advertisements) By-laws, 2012 within the stipulated time frame will result in the issuance of compounds,ā he said.
He also advised all new advertisers to apply for the necessary advertisement license before erecting any billboards or engaging in advertising activities within the municipality to avoid unnecessary legal complications.
āWe firmly believe that the regulation and enforcement of the local laws will not only improve the visual landscape but also create a safer and more attractive environment for everyone,ā he added.
