SERIAN, March 26: A collision near Kampung Riih in Jalan Tebedu here resulted in two vehicles going off the road and into some shrubbery today.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak responded to an emergency at about 4pm today and immediately dispatched a team of firefighters from the Serian Station to the location.
Upon arrival, the firefighters discovered a Toyota Fortuner with an Indonesian registration plate and a Perodua Myvi involved in the accident.
The Indonesian driver and a passenger in the Toyota managed to exit the vehicle on their own before rescuers arrived and both were reported to be unharmed.
Unfortunately, the driver of the Perodua car was sent to the Serian Hospital in an ambulance.
The extent of the victim’s injuries remains uncertain.
As a precautionary measure, firefighters disconnected the car batteries for safety before concluding their operation. — DayakDaily
